I finally found a great Si fuzz face!

I can not say how many times I almost bought one of these, but the lack of sound clips (and the few there are are pretty bad) kept me from trying one out. I had tried several versions of the Fulltone '70, AM Sunface Si and the list goes on. They all sounded pretty nice, but got really brittle when turning down the Volume knob on my guitar.

So, my name finally comes up on the Foxrox AquaVibe list and Dave offers his other pedals to you at a reduced price. Opportunity knocked and I finally bought the Foxrox Hot Silicon Fuzz. I have never played as warm and as versatile a Si fuzz face before! :love4 It has a Grit knob that can get you pretty close to a Ge fuzz face sound, and best of all, it plays nice with a buffer at the end of my chain!

If you like fuzz faces and want to check out a great one see Foxrox.

I have always been intrigued by the Hot Silicon, I just got a '71 Fuzz Face a couple weeks ago that has kind of ended my Fuzz Face GAS, it sounds great.

That is cool! I have never had the opportunity to play a real FF, but I have played a lot of new clones at all different price ranges and the Hot Si is the best silicon and I haven't even started tweaking the trimmer for the input volume. I also love my NKT275 high gain Sunface once I moved the trimmer to tame the mud.

What would be great is a 4 knob CAF where you could control the treble or presence.
