Congratulations Donnel! Holding your own baby is sure soothing! It can be a pain sometimes, but the time goes by really fast, so do it as much as you can while you can. Take a lot of pictures as well because you forget a lot due to the sleep deprivation.

I still need to pick up a digital meter. I finally have my Swart SST-30 dialed in after trying several nos I had around. Swarts are so harmonically rich that if you use nos harmonically rich tubes to gets to be overload and then sounds bad. The biggest shocker is I have a JJ in V1 because anyone who knows me knows I can pick them out and don't like the sound at all. But, a few tung sol 12ax7s and an EI 12dw7 down stream makes it sound just right.

Hey Scott - yes, I am trying to savor as much as I can before I have to go back to work :protest not too excited about that at all...

I'm a big NOS junkie as well and sometimes I think it can end up making things more complicated due to unreliable sellers. I have learned to only replace one tube at a time or risk having to go all the way back to start to find a noisy or bad one. You may find a really EQ neutral 12ax7 like a Telefunken to be just the right thing for V1. I'm not a huge fan of the Telefunken because it is so flat on the EQ, but it might be just the right thing for your Swart.

Glad to hear that you are still enjoying that amp!
