'62... Not my main guitar lately... I've been using a Nocaster and 335 mostly. But this one always goes with me to the gig.

I really should build myself one one of these days. I would def. need a pro to do the setup but I imagine it's really a pleasure to play a guitar you built yourself. Hm... one day.

Thank you. It really is nice to own and play a guitar you built yourself. You just know that every detail is exactly the way you want it. I did all the wiring but I had a superb tech (Scott @ Pittsburgh Guitars) do the final assembly and setup on it.

This has been my summer project and my first build! It has all Glendale hardware including the Intone Twang saddles (Aluminum E&A, and all others brass) It has a Musikraft boat shape that is .95" up and down the neck which I stained and then covered with Tru-Oil. I started/planned to use a different pickup set, but due to nasty squealing I ordered a Rumpelstiltskin 1950s Black Rope set which sounds amazing. I think it weighs at or under 7 pounds so it is super resonant and the larger Jazzmaster body has a fuller sound than the Tele bodies.

Actually it has a neck pickup with chrome cover. The pickguard shown is actually black construction paper. :tongue

I want to build either an Esquire or a hardtail strat for my next project. Either way I could use something that's candy apple red with a rosewood board in my life :)

That looks great Scott! I'm a couple weeks away from having my second Jazzmaster done (actually, technically speaking it's a Jazzblaster since the pickups are Wide-Range Humbuckers). It's Ice Blue Metallic that I tinted so it's halfway between blue and green. I'll post some pics once it's ready!

MMmmm :drooling I have two pine Tele bodies and a lot of parts, but I need to get moving on putting a finish on the two bodies before the weather changes! I love my Telemaster so much I have considered selling one of the Tele bodies after I finish it and buy a Telemaster body, but it is hard to find one with a good weight. Mine is swamp ash and I believe it was made by Wildwood which does OEM work for MJT and many others. If finishing the bodies goes well I may get a business license and try and bring some money in for a change lol.

Which WRH's did you get? I have looked at the Lollars, but I think I am going to try these: http://www.at-the-creamery.co.uk/scatte ... amery.html He makes dead on copies of FRH as well as models that fit into a regular humbucking ring as well as the Jazzmaster pickup route. I have even thought of building just a regular Jazzmaster with a fat maple neck, mustang bridge and The Creamery WRH for Jazzmaster with the traditional trem. I have this cool arm & collett made by the guy who works on Johnny Marr's guitars so there is no wiggle in the hole and the arm stays where you leave it.
