Does size matter?

My Bjorn related collection continues to grow and I cant fit all my toys on a PedalTrain 2 anymore. Poor me. Getting a PedalTrain Pro with two PP2+ is crazy expensive, so do any of you use and combine two smaller boards?

I have looked through the pedalboard thread and it seems most people have the PedalTrain 2 which is probably as large as is practical.

This would be a bit easier if the SBEQ had a switchable buffer!

OR

I have a mysterious Gnome that keeps killing my mini-buffers under my board. Can any of you build a more bullet-proof, or surge spike, resistant buffer in a T1M housing that sounds like the buffer in the Ruby Red Booster?

I have to say I've tried quite a few buffers and nothing beats the one in the BPB. I'd recommend keeping an eye out for one of those :pedallove

I have been looking. The trouble is anything in the house that is pink is my Daughter's! I may never find it again.

I wonder how much difference there is between the buffer in the MP RRB and the BPB? How is the Feel of the BPB? My complaint about the MP RRB is it has a hard feeling and I like the way the SBEQ feels at 9 Volts. Just a little squish.

I had a Cornish LD-3 a while ago and once I received the HB DLX the BPB was enough so I ended up selling my LD-3. The BPB seemed like a better buffer or at least more to my liking. The Cornish brought out the high end to much.

How does the BPB sound & feel? I know it is supposed to sound like nothing just louder, but all Bjorn's pedals have a feel/touch that the MP pedals often lack. I am wondering if the Pink is to convey a softness.

The MP RRB has a fantastic buffer, but you cant get just clean boost because there is not enough volume at 9 Volts to just use the Master. Once you start turning up the Boost it gets a cold grit I am not fond of, but I do like the Treble knob which helps make my Tele neck pickup become more useful. And, at higher Voltages the sound gets colder still.

first of all, you need a puma board.-all the cool guys have them. and maybe second you could try a noc3 earth tone boost. (boost/buffer/attenuator). heck, you might need a new place to sleep at the rate you are going-so the buffer would be the least of your issues. :mailbox

I m not sure I am allowed to have what the cool guys have  :joker I never heard of Puma boards and I thought YOU had a pedaltrain!

I am looking at the mess on the floor and am thinking if it would be smart to have a Hendrix studio board with Vibe, fuzzes, flanger, OD, delay, tuner. octron. And, a second board with what ever is left and have it insert at the right spot of the first board. Or, just get one big board with everything and make a tiny board for blues jams that would hold four battery powered effects.

TO think that 5 years ago all I had was a desk top tuner.

I had about 10 guitars, a Mesa Boogie MKIIB 1x12 60 Watt w/1x12 extension cab and a tuner 5 years ago. Then I went to a smaller, single channel, 5e3 and needed something to make it sound good when the baby was asleep. It has only been since discovering Bjorn's art about a year and a half ago that things got crazy.

We still are not skiing due to the ages of the twins, but in a year or two funds might dry up. The goal this year is to start backpacking again with the kids.
