Why not have someone build up one of the Folk Buffers posted on this forum for you? Bjorn added in a lot of protection features to keep the buffer from being blown up.

Hi

Yes if somebody would just build that it would be just a fine thing I would recommend many times.
You can with that set the loading of the pick ups and you can hear it- no magic........
and then one can discuss what is desirable loading as in what sounds good?

I believe protection features from blowing up is called musician friendly features ;)

As a side not the buffer used in MP RRB is very similar to Folk Buffer but it is not tunable

Have fun

I'd love to build an always on folk buffer! But, I cant make heads or tails of the schematic. I'd like to get it to fit in a small box that fits under my board.

Has anyone made an easy to assemble kit?

I'm interested in the buffer as well...I normally don't take this approach but it is logical...where is the schematic? I might not be able to create an easy to assemble kit but I might make a few stand alone units if it's within my capabilities...I'm not interested in making money nor am I interested in starting a pedal business....AND I do not want to invite trouble (illeagal or otherwise)...who owns the design and would I be able to make a few?

Looking to help,

Kev

I have looked through the pedalboard thread and it seems most people have the PedalTrain 2 which is probably as large as is practical.

This would be a bit easier if the SBEQ had a switchable buffer!

OR

I have a mysterious Gnome that keeps killing my mini-buffers under my board. Can any of you build a more bullet-proof, or surge spike, resistant buffer in a T1M housing that sounds like the buffer in the Ruby Red Booster?

Kind of expensive for a board and case but it worked for me and their ATA cases scared many a baggage handler  ...http://www.stompin-ground.com/
