Ok, I work as a behavior therapist and we have the DSM-IV which lists the essential characteristics of different mental disorders, but the is no listing for GAS. Normally, thorough case study research would be done to find trait that people share when suffering from various afflictions of the mind. For the advancement of the mental health world, I think we should begin to list symptoms that we each experience in hope that we can, one day, find a cure.

My symptom of GAS contribution:

You go on a music downloading spree from artists who the "desired pedal" is supposed to emulate (Ry Cooder...).
