Just got my copy yesterday, and watched it today.. sorry if this is old news for some. It was new to me until I first heard about it a little over a week ago...

So coooool!! A very very interesting watch for anyone with any sort of pedal addiction, I absolutely loved it. A good history lesson, to see how this whole industry kinda started out, origins of fuzz.. but also touching on other effects as well.

Great to see interviews with Donner and Bjorn, to put live people in connection with the messages in email and forums. The Mad Professor himself... Also cool to see other builders, Paul C, David Main, Zachary Vex, Analog Mike, etc etc..

I highly recommend this guys, grab yourself a copy, you'll enjoy it I promise!

I picked up that movie well over a year ago, but had never heard of Bjorn or his pedals before (nor any one on there except for Analog Mike and G. Teese). Well, I had heard of Mad Professor, but I didn't know it was Bjorn nor had I tried one as they seemed too expensive. Long story short I expressed interest on a thread on TGP about BJFe and a cool guy from my town PM's me and loans me (no collateral!) a HBOD and a EGDM! I was on an OD hunt at the time and had purchased 6 ODs including a SHOD and I sent them all back and started ocding the Gear Page emporium and got very lucky! Now I am totally hooked on BJFe and can rest easy knowing that both Bjorn and I love The Sex Pistols :D

I suppose I should put that back on the iTouch and watch it again!

And, I should mention I jammed with the person who loaned me the pedals today and even he was amazed at the tone I was getting

Cool story...actually more than cool of that dual BJF loan assist from "unknown TGP dude"..that's generously unheard of...that and the Pistols make that story cool...ahhh 1977 "Nevermind the Bullocks..." a delightfully unruly platter, especially for the time...good times!

LOL! While I'm trying to make my board smaller yours is heading to where I came from
and ended up needing 2 boards!!!

It's a great insight into some of Donners creativity too e.g. the tour box which Mr. Juhl acknowledges.
If you watch the sections with Zachary Vex you'll see Fatback in the background emerging from the tent
(which seems to fit in with Zachzry Vex's fishing hat thing). He did the Model H clip complete with
PeteTownshend windmill spin.

I was amazed given the audience and subject matter at the fact that the actual pedal demos didn't
really do great justice to the sounds (imo).
They seemed more interested in showing a colourful range of footwear
of the guy who was demonstrating the pedals-
from blue suedes through to riding boots!!! (More shoes than Imelda Marcos!!!!!)
It was nice to put a face to so many people we know the pedal or brand name of.....
You just gotta love the scene where Bjorn is explaining his excitement about the Sex Pistols, the sound and feeling of rock
to a young girl that gets to wear the Les Paul and is given an insight into the spirit and feeling of creating a statement
from the point of view of the artist.
Nice to hear Eva articulate her ideas/ vision about the art work and the portraits I had only seen posted.
Who would have thought the feedback of the players was so integral to what BJF extracts from their heads to put into the pedals.
That's a true testimony to what the BJF philosophy and approach to life is.
If you watch it, you'll be guaranteed to "Have Fun".

HA! Actually still on one board, but could resubmit my board photo as it has changed again  My SBEQ and some other pedal ( I even forget which one lol) are off. I have been in a Grateful Dead mood and added the SHOD and SWAW. I ran out of velcro, so transporting the board yesterday to the jam was rather tricky  as two of my pedals and my buffer are not attached.

I think I am going to build a small wooden board with three pedals and a tuner for quick jams. Wish Bjorn made a small uni-vibe style pedal that was priced like his other single boxes of joy.

I did start watching again and didnt make it to the fun part i.e. Bjorn and company.

I think the small board is a great idea.
I had a PT Pro which had 2 PP+2's underneath.
But outlets quickly disappeared as:
FEOTM- Y cable 2 outlets
EHX- EM Flanger- Y cable- 2 outlets
EGDM-at 18v Y cable- 2 outlets (for the headroom and chime)
SBEQ- Y cable-2 outlets
I could run the EGDM and SBEQ at 9v, b ut like them as they are.
Before you knew it.I had another board
and another PP+2 underneath.

Now I have everything on one board-
a fun ergonomic exercise..... and one PP+2 with velcro ontop.
If I want an acoustic board or grab and go-
I just use the Pedaltrain 1 and can quickly move the PP+2 with velcro.
The case isn't as sturdy as the pro- but it's cheap, light, practical.

Problem solved. The small wooden board would do the same.

The PT 1 is only 2 inches less than what I have but would eliminate 2 pedals  I think in the short run I might craft a small wooden one just big enough to fit a Vibe > Honey Bee > LGW > DBD (?) > (old) PitchBlack tuner But then I am just about the size of a PedalTrain Jr and I could hide the PP2+ under the board not to mention it would be lighter. I guess that would be 8 pedals or 6 and a wah.

Hmm, maybe just the battery board with HBOD > LGW > PB tuner.

yeah thats a fun movie to watch 8)
All the interviews and footage of Bjorn and I (and Eva and Deano) and many others were from a single event and there are also a number of other videos on my Youtube page - you have to scroll back but you will find a number of clips including the unedited bit of that encounter with the girl called 'The Lesson' .... I had my camera filming the same thing the movie camera man was ...
