In one of my comments above I said that one of the problems with smilie packs is you have to find ones that have transparent backgrounds. Those testing out the black background would have found that quite a few smilies and animations had white edges, making them look clumsy and amateur.. Well, I decided to edit each one and make sure that they all had the correct transparent background colour. With the animations that mean updating individual pixels in each frame of the animation, a job for someone who love tedious things. Anyway, I am pleased to say I have now updated them all and so all the smilies should look tidy in both the default and alternative black background styles, no more chunky white edges .

David...it's the DETAILS like this that make your efforts magnificent...head-swelling optional

OK, that is it for the smilies now I think... If you click on "View more smilies" it will bring up a popup window and if you look at pages 2 and 3 you will find a whole lot of smilies with messages. I think that this second level of smilies provides a nice alternative every now and then.
