Picked up a Model R from PT....2nd time I've traded him a D*A*M pedal for a red BJFE...Gave it a good run through this week. Initially I was like...ok, so what the R knob even do...? No change whatsoever through it's entire range. Was about to, sadly, put it up for trade or sale. Did some reading and sure enough, it was being killed by a buffer before it.

Changed the order and it's now one of my absolute favs! Stacks very beautifully with others and is great when being worked with volume. Haven't played or owned a Dyna Red so I can't compare them.

PGC->H->R->EGDM->RRB-> is a setup with many many great shades...

Where you other guys running the R?

That old post about the buffer killing the R knob saved me from making a big mistake. Phew!

Also, I am looking to test out a Dyna Red. I'd be willing to loan out my R, H, EGDM, RRB,Skin Pimp Fuzzes, Sonic Titan, Meathead...I figure a swap for a week will let me decide on whether I need to pick one up. Only thing I ask is that if you want to swap the R, borrow something else in it's place whlie I try the Red. This way I can check em out side by side. Cheers!
