One thing I hope to get to now/soon will be the rerecording of a bunch of songs I wrote about 10~20 years ago and just did demoes for - its an odd feeling to revive old works but it can be cathartic also and thats what Im hoping for - exploring the paths not taken.... brings up some strange combinations of feelings

do it!

i am in this SAME PLACE......i have all the masters from my LVX NOVA II album that never got mixed and released.

been sitting for nearly 10 years now.

label would not give me an advance to pay for studio costs to finish it, then they went bankrupt anyhow, so i shelved it.

been thinking of getting the tapes blown into protools, and going back to work on it and releasing it anyway.

but with a BUNCH MORE guitar tracks

What Im finding interesting,,, is the reworking of songs is almost as interesting as writing them in the first place .... to see how different sets of lyrics change moods depending on the style they are placed in .....this must be the place... 8)

My situation is a bit different. I used to write a bunch of lyrics and poems when I was younger. I am young, so I can't say it was 10-20 years ago. But at least 5 years has gone, and now I just found these. I will try to sit down and write some songs out of them. So far it is a really fun project:D

yeah thats true - it doesnt have to be 10-20 years ago ...

Its interesting just seeing how I play differently - and I notice some of the influeces that have creeped in over the years - things that sound great in new arrangements that I never would have dared do then.....

yep. i'm gonna do it. one of my best friends is a studio owner, ex-Paisley Park engineer (Prince)

his girlfriend bailed out on him and sank him into a depression

he called me up to see if i had anything to do that might get his mind off his current situation.

we are gonna FINISH LVX NOVA II! finally.....ten years later.

and i get to use a WHOLE BUNCH OF NEW PEDALS that i would not have had ten years ago 8)
