As a fulltime college student (loans pay for my school bills, and car bills usually), and semi-pro musician (most of my food and rent) with a part time job in Food Service Management...
The biggest thing for me is that my bread and butter is playing for Churchs. and the economy crash means that Churchs don't have money- this time last year every weekend I was going out and making 2500+expenses split 4 ways. Now those same Churchs are telling us "1000 or we'll just go without music." On one hand, none of us can afford to be payed that little, on the other hand, we all ready need the cash. The biggest effect on me is that I have no idea how I am going to pay for my wedding- we've cut costs by almost 50% and we're still in the whole. Both my fiancee and I just aren't getting work like we thought we would and saving 15g's on top of our regular bills is tough.
Sigh, I do love my HBOD-SYOD-SBEQ stack though. everytime I play out that makes me smile huge when it comes in gloriously stacked. oh, and I like that the first time I stacked the bee into the SYOD my fiancee was like "what did you just do? it sounds like the sunshine cutting through black clouds in the midst of a storm." Jeez, what better description could an ambient post rocker ask for!
Bjorn makes pedals so good even my nonmusical fiancee can tell the difference (even if she doesn't always like to admit it...)
