i haven't actually done much experimenting with stacking, it sounds so good on its own... clipping mode 3 with the fill knob most of the way CW = BRUTAL

turn the 6 way switch all the way to the LEFT.

crank it UP.

that thing sounded GOOD in that switch position!!!!

honestly -- the FRAT could be a real swiss army knife of OD and distortion tones in the studio.

especially if you are recording multiple passes of rhythm guitars, and want each of them to sit in their own sonic space. just use the FRAT to dial up 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 differing tones, all out of ONE BOX. then it sounds like a WALL of guitars. without turning to mush in da mix..... 8) 8) 8)

had a lot of fun playing with that one. which color did you get? as they say, "pics or it's a boss metal zone"

Cosmo,

I haven't had a great deal of time to experiment with stacking but hope to do so a bit this weekend.

The really great thing I found about the Frat is the ability to make it sound good when playing at very loud volumes and also when playing at volumes that leave the paint on the walls and the tympanic membrane without permanent scarring.

I have found a great number of overdrives and/or distortions that sound good when cranked but that lose some luster at lower volume settings. Not so with the Frat. You can tweak it a little and still get a big full sound at lower amp volumes.

Donner, my family thanks you as do I !!

Slim, I have the purple one you tested and I couldn't match the quality of your photos posted elsewhere in this Forum. I agree, turn the clipping (center knob) to full counterclockwise at high volumes.

wow, well glad y'all are diggin 'em !!!

Whats fun about the proto run is they are all different and no two are alike !

The first 'batch' is in the works now and will all be the same.....

There are a few possibilities of doing each batch differently with different range of sounds --- some centered in the light drive/boost area.... some almost Fuzzlike................and some like the protos that have a wide range........
