Anybody have an a/b/y box they would recommend?

Postby Eskimo_Joe » Fri Aug 08, 2008 9:35 am

Hi everybody,

I'd like to find a box that would allow me to switch between two amps as well as run them both at the same time. Anybody have experience with one that they would recommend?

Thanks,

EJ

I use an old Kendrick ABC box --- its AC and has individual transformersfor 3 channels and works great..... they were cool when they came out a few years ago....

but Lehle and Tonebone have comparable units now and thats probably what Id get now....

The original Lehle Dual was the best I'd ever tried. They can be had used for around $225 on Ebay.

Yes. I have a friend who built an A/B/Y box once. It's not quite as nice as the Lehle, as it has the "pop," but it only cost him about $40 in parts.

You can find used Morley A/B/Y boxes for $20 to $30. Bought one years ago and while I've only used it a few time, I was glad that I had it.

I've found the Radial Tonebone Switchbone to be awesome at filling this duty. There are a few similar products out there that would work well too.

These Road Rage boxes are new on the scene...
The enclosures are super stout...
They have kits as well...

I bought 2 of their enclosures for my Folk Fuzz builds...
