Port City Wave 2x12. Rear loader, closed back. G12H30's. Best-sounding cab I've ever played, and I've been gigging with this one for over a year now. Sounds HUGE.

i have a traynor 1x12 combo thats front loaded, and has a greenback in it, open in back. sounds good but was modded when I got it,,not sure what was done.
also use a bogner 1x12 cab with celes, V30 , closed back, sounds big almost like a 2x12,
still love the 4x12 closed back,,,in the hunt for a 2x12 :)

Front loaded but recessed into the baffle. What does this qualify for?

hey Donner, have you ever tried a Celestion G12H with 55Hz response instead of the standard 75Hz?...they work great for a bigger/fatter bottom and still retain the great high end....i use these in a angled rear-loader Marshall 4x12 cab and they sound fabulous with my Plexi or my JTM45 !...i also have 2 older 80's marshall 1x12 closed back cabs( model #1933) that are ported in the front that are the best 1x12 cabs i've used...it's great fun to use 2 and experiment with placement/separating them, especially with modulation stuff...it can get really big swirlly sounds !!!

Hey analoghog, my Germino cabinet uses these same speakers. I agree with your description totally. Before I was jumping the channels I was a bit frustrated because the bass channel was way too bass-y and the guitar side was too bright, but jumping them evens them out perfectly.

My Germino cab is a 2 x 12, rear loaded, open back.

I've been thinking about a 4x8 cab to use with my soon to be incoming LouderAndMore head for a baby halfstack. Anyone have any experience & opinions on using a 4x8 cab for electric guitar? Also, what ohmage speakers, & cab wiring would I need to for all 4 speakers, so the total load of the cabinet is 8 ohms? Please post any wiring graphics, or links to them, if possible...
Thanks!
