[DELETED] "BJFE COPPER HEAD" Rarest Bjfe ever (1 of 1)
Posted: Fri Feb 15, 2013 6:16 am
I'm offering up for trade one of the rarest (and most wonderful) Bjfe's ever. At the moment, only for trade, not for sale.
In mint conditions, like new, with original box.
It is called the "Copper Head", and this one is the only one in the world (1 of 1).
The very special thing, is the possibility to change the chip inside (with your hands!) with other chips available: I will send to you 2 different chips, and you can use both them.
Moreover, Bjorn could suggest to you other chips too, so the possibility are massive. It's like to have more different pedals in one.
With one exact chip (that I'll give to you with the pedal), this pedal is the exact copy of the "Flametop Overdrive", one of the rarest and most beautiful Bjfe Od ever built.
So, this pedal could be considered as a "Custom Flametop" (as Bjorn consider it), but with the additional feature that you can change the chip inside.
Here there are some informations about the "Bjfe Flametop Od", that I've found on this forum. I've reported here just some words from the original test:
I don't want to sell it, at the moment, because it is a very special pedal and I love it. The sound of this pedal is heaven.
But I can trade with:
- others Bjfe's (especially with Vcf, phaser, tremolo, delay, syod, and others rareties),
- Cornish Battery Free
- Klon Centaur (gold with horsie with low serial number, or silver with horsie)
Please, contact me by pm (I can answer to you faster, by my iphone)
I live in Europe, but I can ship to all the world!
I guarantee the highest seriousness and transparency in the transaction.
I've had a lot of buying and selling with the members of this forum, so don't be afraid!
I'll wait some days, then I will put it on tgp and the other forums too.
Here I'm selling other pedals too: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4908
Thank you,
Best Regards
Andy

Well, the overdrive produced is very natural, very amp-like. By that I mean that the increase in overdrive is very linear and very smooth, the compression is very light any only increases ever so slightly as the overdrive increases and is does not sound unnatural or fake. The overdrive sounds like a nicely, naturally distorting amp. This is not a high-gain, high distortion pedal; it is a light, smooth, amp-like overdrive. So the dynamics, transparency and overdrive profile means that no matter what amp you plug the pedal into it sounds like the natural overdrive of the amp you are playing. Wonderful.
The FLT brings a new pallet to your guitar playing; it enables you to do delicate things that you could not have done before. A low-gain, transparent overdrive pedal where you can still "hear the string" when overdriving is a very difficult pedal to design but when done well can be incredibly useful and rewarding. This is what the FLT does and it does it very well. So, in summary, the FLT is the most dynamic, transparent, amp-like, low-gain overdrive pedal in the BJFE range and makes a wonderful addition to the BJFE world.

It definitey was not too bright with that setup and it gave a real amp like "stadium" kind of feel to the sound. Donner once commented here in the forum about how we so often remember what sounds we heard at a concert but then can not replicate the same thing at home for so many obvious reasons. This pedal did that for me though. It along with the Model R are the two pedals that my wife would come down and just lounge on the couch as I played because she felt they both had that "I'm at the Rock show with front row seats" feeling to her..
