And it went back to Bjorn 1 or 2 times before you bought it...it was the first one made and it had some issues to be work out, thats all i'm saying. I've heard that there were big differences between # 1 and the rest of them, but i'm not sure what bjorn did to yours and how it sounded afterwards...

Hope all is well with you EJ....it's been awhile..

Right --- the Purple Plum Phaser had an odd birth .....
Cobra and I both were working on custom phaser requests with BJ ...
He wanted some of the whackier phaser sounds ...
and I wanted something that could be more subtle and varied than usual (for Gary Louris type usage)
and they were made at the same time and were given the same name though they were not the same and should have had different names ....
Cobras was number 1 and when Eskimo Joe got it after listening to it we decided it needed to go to BJ for healing and it did ....

Both of ours were made in the small box -- and it was such a pain BJ said he would never do that again

the rest of the PPPs were made like mine but in the bigger box and I think there were only 2 or 3 of them made ..... and JofZs (this one) is one of those made like mine in the big box....

Then we did the Folk Phaser research batch and the PPP and FP research was combined into the MP TOPhaser .... ( I didnt like the TOP until I found out there is a trimpot inside and did a little tweeking, but I digress)

So yes this PPP is a legitimate, very rare and collectible, out of production BJFe and tho the price is very high, its not out of line considering collector supply and demand. ....
