sonictroubadour wrote:Joel, I note that your auction copy says the LRT has a buffer. I don't ever recall hearing about the LRT having a buffer. The MP RRB does have a buffer, that's for sure, but I'd love to have this mystery cleared up. Perhaps, yours has some special BJ mod or was I just unaware of its existence when I owned one?

Whatever the case is with the buffer, it is a very cool pedal and I wish you luck with your sale. In fact, I have done two successful deals with Joel and, therefore, can vouch for his reliability. :salute

Interested in this as well.

And I'll second Joel being a good egg :king (i.e. an honest reliable seller)

Thanks guys!

And Steve, thank you for bringing this up. After I saw your post, I plugged everything in just to make absolutely sure that the LRT is buffered and that I wasn't imagining things. After that test I can say for sure that it is, in fact, buffered (and that the buffer in it is really great!). It is entirely possible that this LRT is different from the others, though.

It'd be interesting to hear from other LRT owners out there, or perhaps even if Bjorn reads this he could chime in.

It's odd, though, that there is no mention of a buffer in the LRT description in the library:

Little Red Trebler (LRT) - Like a variable "bright" switch on a Fender amp (released 22nd January 2002, retired 17th February 2010). It was originally designed using a Flying V with light humbuckers (about the same level as P-90's). Some other individual pedal differences are:
- Serial number #002 is called "Candy Red Trebler" (see note below).

Also, I forgot to mention that, shortly before I pulled the trigger on the LRT that is now for auction, I had some email correspondence with the individual who owns the Candy Red Trebler. I remember him saying specifically that he thought the buffer in his was excellent. So that would lead me to believe that perhaps more of the LRT's out there are buffered as well?

haha, yeah. I received an offer from a friend last night. I normally don't like to end auction-style listings early, but in this case I can really benefit from having the money sooner rather than 10 days from now, and the price was about what I anticipated the auction ending for. So it was a good situation for me.
