sexy.....the PPF is one pedal i have never had the chance to demo.
but..............
i have an early one here right now, and it's blowing me away
i hate checking out pedals like the PPF and BBOD -- ones that are out of production and hard to get
falling in love with this PPF for sure -- sorta a cross/hybrid of fuzz and overdrive. great pedal! but i knew it would be....

Love my PPF- has easily become my favorite BJF pedal. And it can go anywhere in the chain without issues, unlike many fuzzes.

...Yeah I have some Cornish pedals on loan, and in trying to figure out what they sounded closest to, it finally hit me and I pulled out the PPF and it does most of what the G2 and SS3 do by itself.... very versatile pedal.

Love my PPF. I'm hugely fond of stacking it with a HB. Things can get right Neil Young-y.
Can't see myself ever letting it go!

the short answer ~~~ the G2 is a sculpted fuzz - the SS3 is a is a nice overdrive --- the PPF is both

If I could only keep one dirt pedal it would be my PPF. I covers a lot of ground and is truly a desert island pedal. I agree with Donner most sounds from the SS3 and G2 can be achieved with the PPF. I like placing the PPF last in my chain and using as a lead boost with the gain around 9 to 10 and the nature knob set depending on if I want my sound bigger or tighter. The magic is in the nature knob, absolutely genius.

Its one of those that I've never tried. Gotta get on get one one of these days. Btw sonic, I don't recall "Keep on rockin' in the free world" to have an overly bright sound to it! I mean, unless the SYODv1 has a very different tonality in your rig than mine but its pretty bright. Gotta try these.

I definitely think Keep on Rockin' in the Free world is inside the SYODv1... note that this is from memory but I would say....
Volume - 10:00
Gain - 1:30
Treble - 10:30
It would be slightly less bassy and maybe a bit brighter but darn close to what I hear on the album version. The SYOD pedals are probably some of the coolest OD's I've had experience with. The v1 is rock n' roll and the v2 is bluesy. Loved 'em. Hope Bearfoot releases one (or both!) soon
