There is one on the bay going for 750$. I'm sure he'll bring it down but yeah he's asking way way too much. Send him a mail and propose 500$ or 550. He might take it. I haven't seen many going around these days.

$500/$550 is still too much for one

Yeah I've given that guy several offers.

I'm looking to pay the typical mid 300's seen in sales over the last year.

Fair call Donner but I understand where Bill was coming from.

Most forum members accept advice and sometimes comment regarding a price outside the forum
where they believe the seller is asking too much.
In a WTB, a person is making a statement about what it is worth to them and what they are prepared to pay.
They are testing the waters or throwing out a line and potentially creating their own market.

The market of demand and supply like water,
will find it's own level.
I think Bill's concern was an analysis of the registry might have
been prejudicial to his offer as a potential buyer-
in the value it was inferring to a potential seller based on the registry. (imo).

A pedal, guitar is worth whatever the individual is willing to pay for it.
The recent $1200 Phase 90 is a case in point where the sellers price was seen as outrageous etc.
but these comments weren't considered negative.
But that post was really another:
FS:- Nothing you want/ need or would pay for. (Not Mine).

I think Bill saw the comment (whatever the intention) as making sellers wary,
equally as much as evaluating for him what he has a right to decide he is willing to pay.
He had also done his research and arrived at his own facts.

No one want negative posts.
I certainly don't want PM's about what I'm offering etc.
Bill is known as being in the spirit of Having Fun
and I just wanted to say I don't think he was changing his approach etc.

Actually, when you post a WTB add be prepared to pay top dollar. I bought my SYOD and ALF that way and neither came cheap btw. But hey they are rarities but still. Someone will come around and tell you they have a CAF to sell, its gonna happen but it might not be at your price. If it was, they would just post it here and get more than 400$ for it. That's just the way the cookie crumbles. Then again, is 50$ that much for something you'll keep forever? The CAF is Bobby D's favorite fuzz and most would agree that it isn't a one trick pony. So think about it. Your luck would be that someone in europe would want to sell it. With the EURO down, you'll keep bang for your buck. I Hope you get it asap. I know how badly I wanted those pedals and how happy I was getting them. Good LUCK!
