Ok, I suck  Since a PGC and a FGC together would add up to $700 + maybe is isn't unreasonable? BTW I have NO affiliation with this guy. I thought it was a cool looking pedal and wanted to pass it on as it is far out of my reach.

...Well, i think someone just offered him $1000 for it...i'd rather wait on the list for one...and, the FGC does just fine for me right now...

I got a PM from Tim, the pedals owner, and he wanted to pass this along... Looks like our friends in the UK get hosed by eBay! He also doesn't know a fair market value to put a set price on it and is trying to be fair.

Hi,

Thanks again for your kind post on the BJF forum, which seems to have upset people there.

I would appreciate it if you would let the folks there know:
I'm going to see if a private sale makes sense because eBay now charges 10% to UK users (I'm in London), which seems like a lot to me. That said, any of the BJF forum people can check my eBay ratings to see that I have 100% satisfaction ratings on over 20 transactions when I have used them, with very positive written comments from all buyers.
I thought a private auction made more sense than fixed price as I genuinely don't know what the current market for one of these might be.
I've never sold something using TGP before, and just found out that there is a rule that any sales need to be conducted via the Emporium. So all posts referencing a potential sale are no longer there.
I wanted to gauge the level of interest with my approach to help me decide what to do. Interest seems quite strong, as I've just received an offer at $1,000. I would guess that this is due to the scarcity and long waiting time for Bjorn's custom pedals.
Nobody needs to make an offer if they don't want to, and I appreciate the interest so far.
Thanks again for your kind help,

Tim

Even here in the states, by the time you pay Ebay & Paypal their combined fees, it totals 10% as well...

I just paid for my PGC Deluxe, after waiting 13 months for it, and the price was $718, so I don't see what the big fuss is about. $800 seems reasonable. When I have rare BJFE pedals, I always sell them for more than I paid because my 12 month wait for them has to count for something. The pseudo-auction is somewhat annoying, but besides that who cares?

.......were talking about a compressor....$1000 compressor....you don't see alot of those, if any........on the other hand, OD's and Fuzz's hit the $1000 mark a little more often than a compressor....to me at least, they are in 2 different catergories, and pay scales......

While, in general, I agree with you and, as I already stated in a post, above, a compressor is not as obvious an effect as a fuzz, OD, and so on are, I can also tell you that my FGC and SBEQ (both not "obvious" pedals!) spend a lot more time with their lights on than my PPF and BBOD do! So, yeah, not as noticeable, but just as useful/used.

In the case of this particular pedal, however, I'd submit, again, that the collectibility/rareness factor is an equally big component in its high sales price as it actual functionality/sound.

....i'm with you, i agree...
