Oh, I don't think we saw that TV show here... Hopefully they will colorize it and show it as repeats here :-) :-)

Actually, if you want real-life cliff hangers instead of TV shows my mother says I am a real cliff hanger and she is still awaiting the outcome :-)

This Cuban Missile Crisis cliffhanger and most memorable resolution has been artistically and cinematically expressed through movies/TV via many pieces of work depicting the events such as THIRTEEN DAYS as well as numerous other films/programs, FYI, in case theatrical representation are required for the contest. Also the secretary of state at the time was named DEAN RUSK!
Any relation :?:

Hi, I'm new here and this is my first post! I would love to try/buy/review a Cliffhanger!
My Cliffhanger is the 2000 United States Presidential Election. The memorable outcome was that President Bush "defeated" Gore, after counting and recounting. It was quite a process, with very delayed results that people continue to question to this day.

Oh, I don't think there's any "question" what happened ... anyway, thanks for joining and welcome to the forum!

Okay I got one:

How 'bout the 2000 Superbowl when the STL Rams overtook the Tennessee Titans, barely holding onto the lead when Mike Jones stopped Kevin Dyson on the 1-yard line in the final seconds of the game!!!

From Wikipedia:
The first two quarters of Super Bowl XXXIV were largely a defensive battle. Despite outgaining the Titans in total offensive yards in the first half, 294–89,[4] the Rams only held a 9–0 halftime lead off of three field goals. St. Louis later scored their first touchdown midway through the third quarter to go up 16–0. Tennessee then responded by scoring 16 unanswered points to tie the game with 2:12 left in the game, the largest deficit to be erased in a Super Bowl and the first greater than 10 points. However on their ensuing drive, Rams quarterback Kurt Warner completed a 73-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Isaac Bruce to take the lead again. The Titans then drove to the St. Louis 10-yard line with six seconds remaining, but on the final play of the game, Rams linebacker Mike Jones tackled Tennessee wide receiver Kevin Dyson one-yard short of the goal line to prevent a game-tying touchdown. This play later became known as simply "The Tackle."[5]

Pretty good cliffhanger with an even better resolution!

Also, I have a cool story about this:
A buddy of mine from STL was in Vegas right at the end of the preseason the previous summer. Trent Green had just been listed as out for the the season, and Kurt Warner, an unknown third stringer arena ball player was named to start. Undeterred, my buddy put $100 on a 25-1 bet for the Rams to win the Superbowl at the end of the season to come. Well, not only did he get to go to the game six months later, but he won $2500 with the Rams' victory. He then stopped at a gas station in TN on the way home and won $1000 on a scratch ticket. No sh*t. How's that for a good one!

Well, that comprehensive list really covered a lot of bases. Some of my favorites were on there such as the season of 24 that ends with Jack being kidnapped by the Chinese. Also kudos for some obscure cliff hangers such as the Frisky Dingo season 1 and the Stroker and Hoop (still waiting for that one). L Word's last 2 seasons have ended in dramatic fashion. Shane standing up her bride at the alter. One season later she is caught with Jenny's movie star girlfriend.

A few others that failed to make the list (unless I missed them)
Carneval (HBO) - simply torture that they failed to come back with another season.
Huff (SHOWTIME) - another great series that left us hanging

You too shal be assimilated!!

Cheers,

Edward

Lol, classic!!!! It'd be funny to hear if there were any other damages or funniest home video reactions to cliffhangers. What was it that caused the dent?
