I've been searching for a good trem. Is Mad Professor coming out with one? Are there others that people here would recommend? I'm looking for something vintage sounding and not terribly fancy in terms of functionality.

I always recommend the Danelectro Tuna Melt tremelo. It's so cheap you won't be wasting a lot of money if you try it and it does the job for me. Quite a few people who I've recommended it to have also ended up sticking with it. Well worth giving it a go before moving on to the more expensive stuff.

At the other end of the scale, the Moog Ring Mod does a very nice tremelo at lower frequency settings, plus you get the ring mod effects as a bonus.

I use a Cusack Tap-A-Whirl right now, but I tried a Kaden Fluttertone out of curiosity and it sounded really nice. The Fluttertone is only $140 new, plus it's got an external volume knob, which is a big plus, IMO. You might want to check it out.

Not a 100% +, but I think I remember reading that there would be a MP trem at somepoint.
I like the Cusack TAW as well, althought maybe too "fancy" for you as it has alot of options. Great sounding unit and I love the switches.
I know most people dislike them, but I have an old Diaz trem that is alright, its small size, not too fancy, two stomper, and inexpensive. Of course it was fixed twice by Cesar.

Yup MP Trem in the pipeline not sure how far up the line tho

the Diaz is very deep and can go to chop ville too.....and the two speed on that small box are very cool....

but probably my favorite is the 'small cup' switch on the 2SMVibe its almost a trem but stil has a touch of t he vibe wobble....

didnt want to mention the Saffron, tough one to get as there is probably not too many people who would sell theirs,

forgot about the EHX Wiggler for a few vintage tube driven trem sounds. sometimes you can find a used one for a good price. Worth investigating as well.

I'm holding out for the MP Trem. Dean just mentioned that he tried the proto and loved it. I've also been on the Toneczar Powergilde wait list for almost 2 years!

Wow, I didn't realize the waitlist for the Powerglide was so long. I know Ed's not adding anyone to it at the moment. Bummer. I'd really like to try that pedal, but doesn't sound like I'll have an opportunity to anytime soon.

I'm looking at the Goatkeeper (http://www.lightfootlabs.com) as a possible tremolo right now. I really dig my Cusack, but I prefer to have the option of manually dialing in the rate and waveform.

I can say I had the oppurtunity to hear the Powerglide a few years back in Germany and that is a very nice trem indeed.

Yes there's an MP trem in the works and hopefully released quite soon.
It takes time though to set up production on such scales.

Ah making things by hand as I have done and do I can put in a new model with almost no lead time, but making production work would still take time gathering all parts and things needed.
