Well I played my acoustic for 15 years
Loved the sounds that filled my ears
But I knew there had to be something more
So I picked up an electric and began to explore
Before long I was searching for the perfect tone
And I found it in a box made in a Swedish home
Yes these pedals are epic, the stuff of legends and fables
So powerful they should be sold with addiction warning labels
1st it started with a honey bee, then candy apple, and a dyna red
Then I stopped buying food, I preferred pedals over being fed.
My family became worried and tried to intervene
Took me to a doctor who was an expert at getting people clean
He said let me guess this started with a honey bee
Now you're owned by the tone and at the mercy of your BJFE
I asked, "What is BJFE, I see it written on every pedal box?"
He said, "Bad Jonesin for Effects 'cuz they're more addictive than crack rocks."
I left the doctor and ran home (had to because I pawned my car for pedal money)
Got on the internet to learn more about my addiction and found a forum dedicated BJFE
Everyone on this forum was jonesin for a fix, just as bad off as I
There is this huge demand from addicts and such a limited supply
So if you see someone shaking in a corner with no pedal in hand, don't look perplexed
It's plain and simple, they are addicted, got a Bad Jonesin for Effects.
