hey Donner, sorry for the ignorance but what is the Losin'You reference?

while it usually changes for me,,,it always seems to include either the HB, DRD, or BBOD.
it would be hard to narrow down one favorite tone.

off to try some HB>SWF :)

Ron Woods tone on the Faces 'Im Losin You' has always been one of my favorites and Ive gotten close but crap this is it  and its really useful for many other things - its just an organic dynamic rippin sound thats equally good for chords and notes 8)

my SWF arrived just before i went on a little tour and for 6 nights in a row now i used SWF>LGW......HUGE tone, mighty and agressive, yet warm. the SWF>HB combo turned out a little too dark for my setup.
my experience with fuzzes so far is limited but the ones i used before never covered as much range and dynamics as the SWF.
i also have a honeybee with me so i will try Donner's stack recommendation tonite :-)

the SWF and HB video is making me gas for the SWF now.

Right now my favorite BJF tone is a TV Jones Powertron (Gretsch Spectra Sonic) into the HB. It's almost like my tele but fatter and more dynamic. Kick in a little delay or tremolo...alt.country/roots rock/folk rock awesomeness!

That sounds nice too...maybe add or sub the R for a SWF. After seeing the HB and SWF video, I need to start saving some coin.

For me, it's definitely PGC, MGMV & SBEQ. Those three together give full control over my clean and slightly dirty tones, at any volume level.

Tea had me thinking,,I guess I have a few fav tones, one for clean , one for dist.
dist- BBOD>DRD>HB
clean-Lgw or RRB set clean with some PGC and subtle MV
heavy dist- SWF or CAF>LGW>SYT>DBD

tried the HB>SWF>HB combo and was quite fun,,ended up leading to PGC>BBBOD>SWF>BBBOD on bass. Yowzer
out of all the bjf fuzzes, the swf seemed most compatible with bass so far with so with alittle help from some comp and slight drive.
