Famous/Well Established Players using BJFs

Postby cabo » Fri Feb 29, 2008 8:17 am

thought this might be interesting to see what 'famous' players have fallen into the BJ world.
I recently saw Mark Karan has a Model R and HB?
not sure if he uses them live but none the less,,,
(markkaran.com if interested).

Any other famous BJF players?

I could be wrong but I thought I remember Craise mentioning a few a while back?

I know Craise sold a HB to Lee Renaldo of Sonic Youth a couple of years ago. They were playing in Atlanta and he came by Craises house and checked out some BJF pedals. Craise told me later that he heard that Thurston kept taking the HB from the rehearsel space so they ended up buying another HB. So Sonic Youth has at leasst two HB.

I heard about lee from Sonic Youth...didn't Brad (last name escapes me) from Aerosmith have a BJF or two on his board at one time?

Here is a a picture of Sonic Youths Honey Bee. I got this from the link below. The Honey bee is in the far right of the picture. It's kind of interesting that he does not have it dialed in to his sugested settings and his other effects are.

This is a great site showing all of Sonic Youths gear over the years.
http://www.sonicyouth.com/mustang/eq/gear.html If you follow the link click on Lee above and then scroll through the effects over the years to see a larger picture od the settings.

His gear gives me GAS.

I'm a legend in my own mind, if that counts.

I also may already be a winner of the Publisher's Clearinghouse Sweepstakes!

Yeah Ive got a pic of it somewhere --- I sent Greg (Brad Whitfords tech) some pedals and they liked the RRB LGW and HB best - he uses amp distortion so alot of t he drives he uses are more dirty boosters than distortions which made sense....if you CAN crank your amps why not 8)

I just hope that no one like Mayer or Bonamassa gets into BJF pedals.....then we'd really have some supply and demand issues to talk about. :)
