I use the Teese RMC3, very versatile with it's tweakabillity, can adapt to most situations. But like someone above wrote, pain in the a$$ to adjust.

Did you get to try mine at Ronnie's thing back in November? Been using mine for almost two years now.
Been through Dunlop GCB-95, 535Q (18v), Vox Reissue, both Fulltones, Teese RMC2 & RMC3, Keeley Mello Wah (Vox Mod), Budda, etc.
Area 51 rules.

TheWarmth wrote:I've got a Teese Wizard Wah that I like quite a bit. It works well with distortion and fuzz (I place it after my od/fuzz pedals). The only wah that I've tried that I've liked better has been a Landgraff, but the wait time is a year or more and the price is hefty. I have been told that the Area 51 wah with all of the controls options is pretty amazing, too.
i heard great things bout the Wizard wah (its red one, right?) i'm just wondering how it sounds for more clean stuff....i really been thinkin to replace my picture wah with the wizard but i'm not sure if it's able to cover that ground as well. and it would look really stupid to have 2 wahs on the board:-)
do you use the Wizard wah for "cleaner" sounds and how does it work for You?
cheers, Lars

Hi!
I?m totally satisfied with my Budda wah. Works very well (for my taste) with HB pair.. and Folk Fuzz.

Yeah, I think the Wizard works just fine for cleaner tones. I don't know if I'd say it's an ultra-versatile wah, as it doesn't have any adjustable tone controls, aside from a volume trimmer on the inside, but it works great for me. You might want to look into the Area 51, too, though.
Doc ... I didn't get to try yours at Ronnie's. I didn't even think of it. Bummer. I can't afford to buy a new wah right now anyway, though.

Just a random thing to pass along...in a flash of over indulgence I bought two Supa Quacks at the same time...just fyi--there was quite a bit of difference in them. Both were LE versions (some vintage parts) so maybe that played into it. One was phenominal and one was just OK. Just thought I'd pass that along.

Hi EJ,
Curious as to what BJF dist/OD you use most with the Supa?
I have a LE as well, I find the more compressed the fuzz or distortion the less compatable it is.
It seems to react better when a heavy distortion pedal has a more open feel.
Like you say maybe all the LEs are slightly different.

I'm running a Supa Quack that was E. Johnsons and by some twist of fate I ended up with it. The BJFE pedal that seemed to melt with it is the PPF. Man, they were made for each other. I'm also using an Tycobrahe Parapedal from back in the day and it seems to like the harder dirt pedals. Tore it up with the CAF.

Hey cabo!
Overall, I think my Supa Quack works best with medium over drives like the Baby Blue, the Sparkling Yellow, and my Landgraff DO. That said, it also works great with virtually all of my distortions. The only issue is with some really heavy fuzzes (mostly D*A*M pedals). Anyway, I think you're right when you say the more compressed it is, the less pleasing the tone. I'd love to drop a foxrox buffer into it, but I'm scared it would mess with the tone somehow. I've heard Analogman sells a foxrox buffer in a stand alone box. It'd be nice to try that. What about for you?
