LGW or BBOD through Fender amps?

As far as guitars go, I have enough different sounding guitars, that I know I can find one that would fit great with either of these pedals, so that is not my concern. My question is with amps. I play mostly through Fender amps ('56 bassman, '65 vibrolux, Custom made 5e3, Blues Deluxe) and my next pedal purchase will be either a LGW or a BBOD. Is one of those 2 pedals better sounding than the other through Fender amps? Thx

I think the BBOD is better sounding through any amp, but the LGW is great too. Should have no problem getting great sounds out of either with Fender amps.

well the tweed and blackface amps are pretty different -- the Tweed going to have more mids and break up easier for one thing...

and it will depend on whether you are wanting to make the amp distort or have pedal distortion on a cleanish amp....

also the BBOD is known for its touch dynamics and the LGW is known for its uncompressed dynamics... so those two pedals are pretty different.....

actually the BBOD into the LGW is a wonderful sound for defined singing leads ....

BBOD>LGW an awesome stack indeed,,,you need to get both..
you may also find that the SBOD could work as an alternate. I had a very inspiring session this weekend with a friends Twin and the SkyBlueOD.

Hi, i got both pedals and they both work great with fender amps....in a different way, just like Donner said. as a standalone i prefer LGW, its more versatile (IMO) in a way that u can use it as really great clean boost..If You're lookin for that...the BBOD dont have a great amount of volume boost available.

Alright, I was hoping I could pick one, but it's looking like it's going to have to be BBOD>LGW. Indecisiveness is so expensive Good tone is worth every penny.

Thanks for all the info/suggestions! Lars, definitely a soulful solo, dig it!!! I'd buy an LGW based on that clip alone.

actually BBOD > LGW has become my favourite combo for fat leads... last week my new RRB arrived and i put it inbetween the two...WOW! a versatile stack. now i got "blues"(LGW), "boosted blues"(RRB>LGW), and "over the top"(BBOD>LGW). not to mention the RRB by itself...awesome!

yeah thats a versatile 3some you have going--- you can also put the RRB after the LGW - leave the RRB on to goose your amp and then drive a little of t he other two in -- with the BBOD you can use the RRB to keep your amp just on the edge and then have the BBOD as the dynamic dirt ingreidient - tasteful but pushy...

thx Donner, i tried that combo (BBOD>RRB) last night and its awesome....a great lead sound with much clarity!
only thing is, if i turn the RRB up to the point where it really shines (also when using as standalone), it's pretty darn loud ....i guess it would be killer with a tweed deluxe, AC15 or something that size. with my amp i'm in trouble if i turn it up.
