only thing is, if i turn the RRB up to the point where it really shines (also when using as standalone), it's pretty darn loud :-)....i guess it would be killer with a tweed deluxe, AC15 or something that size. with my amp i'm in trouble if i turn it up.

Yeah that can be the problem with the RRB - its not shy !! it is like the Top Boost on a Vox , yeah great into a slightly dark amp a bit cutting on a Fender

My fave is BBOD into SBEQ its like the RRB but you have more control of the EQ at the end obviously and less bite overall .....

(yes this is exactly how we end up with 14 BJF pedals  )

you may also find that the SBOD could work as an alternate. I had a very inspiring session this weekend with a friends Twin and the SkyBlueOD.
sorry didnt mean to add any more options,,but perhaps was overlooked?

Where does one find a SBOD?

Just went on Custom-Sounds page and saw that they have the SBOD in stock. I think they just updated their page today because I didn't see it on there yesterday.

Yeah he does, talked with Sebastian today about getting the TOP and MYT (and maybe the FRF and DBD :) ). He said he should have them all in stock in the next few days. Sebastian rocks!
