Somewhere there are a couple cool Pine Greens I did - they look like a Pine Tree in the box pattern, I havent seen them surface yet .....

I really like the Custom Sounds clip that shows off how the PGC and LGW stack so well - one of my favorite lead sounds....

Donner,,,Havent seen those pine tree boxes either, seems a fitting pattern. No early pics?

I missed those CS clips but been messing with the PGC>LGW stack and it does give a nice familiar sound.

On a slightly different note,,,I did find recently that the PGC makes my HK Rotosphere quieter while giving it a slight boost in volume. I know many people dont use the HK for the noise issue, and I have kinda been on the fence for a while too,,,, until now.

Hmmm well I still have and use my PGC - its the one that got it t he middle knob (was originally a 2 knobber) and so it doesnt say anything under the middle knob ; ]


Do you put t he PGC before or after the Roto ? thats an interesting observation and a useful piece of info....

PGC before the Roto. I did try it after as well with not good results.

On the Roto, turned the output down(10oclock) and drive up a little(2 oclock). I set the PGC for a lot of vol and the comp kinda let me control the amount of noise going thru.
Basically the PGC is driving the Roto better than its own drive . It does not have enough drive on its own to push the sound with the output set so low.
So with the Rotos output down the noise it gone, but it needed the PGC to be heard.
Only problem is, I like my PGC set different for most of the time. Maybe a good boost would do the same as the PGC is doing for the Roto? Or,,,, maybe there should be a PGbiC in the works!?!

would the PGC add some jangle and shimmer to your sound? Or is it more of a squishy type comp? Or am I looking for something entirely different i.e. SYOD?

I read somewhere that BJ made this for some beatles covers and when I think of beatles I think of more jangley chimey shimmer....well an era of the beatles atleast. Just something to put prescence into my clean and rhthym sound when needed.
