i just thought i would share some thoughts about the pedals i tried. i played a strat through both an emery sound superbaby and a fender pro junior.

first up, the syt. in the past, i have not been much of a trem person, but i enjoyed this pedal. i liked how musical this pedal was across its range, and i found some great tones in some of the more subtle settings. there was only a slight volume drop when used.

next up was the baby pink booster. i like this pedal for a lead boost, but i do not think that it make it on my board. i wish there was more distortion available. maybe the red rooster booster would suit me better.

overall i think this swap was a great idea, and it helped me narrow down what other bjf pedals i would like to try/buy. i look forward to hearing some of evefly's and zion's thoughts.

You might like to try my RRB, it has a lot more gain than the Baby Pink.
I work as a music therapist all around Boston and outside, lots of places during the week, so chances are I could drop it off to you, or some other pedal if you wanted to borrow.

I have had the SYT, the BPB, and PPF for a few days now. Have had precious little time to spend playing but initial impressions are as follows:

- I've never used tremelo before but could find a place for this on my board especially at the less "intense" settings. If you back off on the amplitude to say, 11, and the velocity to 9 or 10, you add a little shimmer to clean as well as driven sounds. Overall, very pleasant. There is a slight volume drop when engaged but I figure that's why the MP model has the additional knob.

- the BPB is not a booster at all, its a "rounder". I put it at the end of the chain. Unity was about 10 to 11 o'clock but even at unity, there was "more" of what you already had. It is just surprising that you get a lot of bang for that one little knob although I'm sure its well short of the RRB. If you just want something that adds a little flavor, this is a good choice. And, it has the added advantage of the buffer. I did have a bit of a problem getting it to operate on battery power but through an adaptor, it worked just fine. Overall, I would like to own one and would probably just leave it at the end and on most of the time.

- the PPF is delicious. I don't get the feeling so much of a fuzz except at high fuzz settings, more like an overdrive, more open than the Folk Fuzz in all settings. The nature knob seems to have been "reversed" from what you would find on the standard tone knob. Perhpas I'm just hearing things but it seemed the bass was more full at full CW although there is an exponential change as you reach the last two clock hours of throw in either direction. I have a feeling that the Mystoury Fuzz and Pink Purple are cousins. If you wanted one pedal to give you a nice overdrive and fuzz, this would be it.

Okay, enough of the verbiage. Zion, the package will be out to you on Friday with the Folk Fuzz and Sparkling Yellow included. I'll mail it at lunch. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I hope we can do more of this in the future.
