Obviously an analog delay would make several people wee themselves! Some two in one things would be good as well, so a Honey bee and a booster or the Dyna Red and a booster in the one pedal - obviously this is more complicated so apologies Bjorn!

The only thing I can see missing from the range at the moment though from the standard range of effects is a chorus and a flanger. But what would be really good is something totally out there, like the Crowther Prunes and Custard. I'm not suggesting that you clone it, just something that's as unique as the P&C is.

Yeah the Analog delay will be v ery cool !! but still quite aways off and very limited numbers at t hat.....


another crazy fuzz would be cool, maybe a customshop whackjob fuzz :D

What about a distortion pedal built into a wah pedal housing, where the treadle would control the density of the distortion, with side-mounted pots to control tone and volume. I know there are plenty of times I'd have my DRD set up with volume and tone right where I wanted, but often wished I could have less dense distortion for certain passages, and then wanted more dense distortion for other passages, all in the same song.

It would be so cool to be able it increase that distortion density by rocking your foot instead of having to bend over and turn the knob, especially if that change is to happen in the same song.

I don't know how implementable this idea would be, but I think it would be really cool. The same principle could perhaps be applied to boost, or to fuzz ... whatever. I think it would rock, anyway.

Im in favor of "higher gain" pedal, and that into a Flanger would be good.

Put a analog delay at the end too. Those would be my top 3.


Hey Doc Rock, maybe try the openhaus. It does what you are asking for only its not all one pedal.

I have two in mind:

The Honeybee I understand is designed to be like a small Supro Amp in a box.

So how about a Hiwatt in a box?

People have looked for Fender, Marshall and Vox tones in pedals, but no one has gone for a Hiwatt sound that I know of.

Secondly, it would be nice to have a pedal that built harmonic content and compression with out a distorted sound - kept the clearity, sustained more, squashed a bit, thickened the mids but held the highs.

That would be cool, you could also use one of those 3rd Hands that turn the knob for you - thing is as you change the drive you usually want to adjust the treble too....hmmm

Yes this is being explored actually ( I already made a few boxes for it :wink: ) cant quite nail down what t he parameters should be - and what part of the Hiwatt sound - just t he distortion or t he whole dynamic clean thing.....

the second might describe the PGComp or maybe one of the Orange Squeezer clones

I've had several discussions with Bjorn about stereo chorus, especially one that could emulate the chorus sounds from an A/DA Flanger, only in stereo. IMHO, the A/DA Flanger has the best chorus sounds I've ever heard, not to mention it's a kick butt flanger to boot, so my vote for a new BJF pedal would be a a stereo chorus or flanger, with my second choice being a BJF wah...
