FUZZ the Movie review

Postby JofZ » Mon Dec 10, 2007 1:13 pm

During the last 2 or so years film maker Clif Taylor traveled the USA and gathered interviews and interesting footage of stomp box makers and players.
Clif took 3 days worth of footage at my ToneFest 2006 in Chicago. Almost all of the interviews made it to the final film. They include Bjorn Juhl, Dean Farley, Marc Alfs, John Cusack, Scotty Smith, Teddy Gordon, Don Rusk and a couple others that I am forgetting.

Clif sent me a pre-realease copy and I watched it last night. Let me tell you how much fun it was to see all my friends in a movie. The film is informative and takes you through the early years of fuzz all the way in to the modern era. Each builder comes off as himself and you really get a sense for not only the genius behind them, but also their personality. For all of you who have not had a chance to meet Bjorn, you'll want to pick this up! He is a riot in the film and Eva is fantastic as well.

Anyway, it is available thorugh numerous sources including Net Flix. If you can not find it post here or PM and I will get you a copy!

Give me your address in a PM and I'l send you my copy, you guys in the UK and Europe can watch it and send it back when you are done. A Fuzz Movie Demo. There is a European Launch of the movie that is coming along with Japan that includes more footage and some fixes to the film, and I will let you know when that is planned to take place.

I'm inclined to agree, I contacted the site to see if the disc will work ok on this side of the Atlantic. I've never bought a movie from the US before, so have no idea if it will play on my stuff.
