What's the most amazing BJF control?

Postby Eskimo_Joe » Sat Dec 01, 2007 11:43 pm

I'm always amazed at how useful BJF controls are, and how unique they are. So which one is the most amazing? Your favorite? For me, it's the Nature control on the CAF. There are so many sounds in that thing!

not sure which one would be most amazing....I too like the range of the nature on the CAF and PPF.
The body knob on PGC is one of my favs too.
Ive only been messing with it for a day or so but the control on the new MP FRF has a drastic range from side to side,
Also the Model H control was quite unique from what I can recall.

Nice thread, I'd have to agree with the Candy Apple Fuzz's Nature control, not only does it sculpt the sound on it's own in endless different ways, it's so damn interactive with the gain control too. PGC would be a very close second, with PPF and HBOD tied for third.

Good thread - Ive always been amazed at the depth of BJs '3rd Knobs' - You have to have volume and then control the main feature of the pedal Fuzz,Dirt etc.... but then where most designers are doin good to come up with an appropriate treble rolloff for a third knob - BJ has such a command of circuits and such a good ear that he can get appropriate control of 2 or 3 other things on one knob .. like the EGDMs voice and dist knobs are interactive and control dirt eq compression thru the Vox range and its all there....
And the new MP Sky Blue ODs knobs are truly amazing in what they can morph thru....

but yeah the CAF Nature control covers more territory by itself than many pedals 8)

Are the MP FRF's out yet? Will there be a tourbox soon?

not sure that the MP FRF is out yet,but sounds like it will be soon. I ended up trading and got a hold of a proto.
I bet there would be alot of interest in a tourbox,,,I thought maybe Doc had one going??

Hi Cabo,

I'm running a tourbox on TGP for the 3 MP's we had out and about earlier this year...the LGW, DBD, & MRD.

I don't have anything going right now, as far as the new models are concerned.

Cheers,
