Wow, cheers for the heads up Donner. Any idea of a time-frame on this?

Well as I understand it RoHS is a manufacturing compliance as of a certain date - so anything made before that would be grandfathered in I believe, and I think it was July 1st of '07....
but there are exceptions and like any law various levels of compliance
And its entirely possible that the US could come up with something similar ... the biggest proglems for boutique pedal builders are the lead content in solder and old germanium components.....
The problem is there are lots of quickly obsoleted products like cell phones and electronics that get dumped in the trash by the millions and have some very nasty chemicals that leech into the ground,food and water supply.... I actually agree with this law, if they can get the proper acceptions in order, like for things with long life expectancy,,, like BJFE pedals
