Postby TheWarmth » Mon Oct 29, 2007 10:43 am

There's a thread on TGP about this ... someone sold their BBOD on ebay for $709. Yikes.

geez, I paid just a little more for that for an HB and a EGDM new. I think people need to be a little patient and just order new.

now I'm kind of sad that I let my first EGDM go. It was a stupid steal for what these prices are...yeesh

I have bought 7 BJFE pedals in the last 2 months, all of them used. I could have never done this at these prices. There was only 2 pedals that I paid over $400.00 for, and they were both Custom Shop Models, LPOD and Model R. What is going on?

No idea...but there is an HB on the 'bay now for 350.00 starting price and 500 BIN price...and another BBOD with a high high high BIN price.

these BBOD's must have the meaning of life scrolled on the inside of the casing or something.

Yep, for $600 & $800 respectively.

Wow. Just, wow.

I've mostly been biting my tongue about all these trends lately. Truthfully, I have a real problem with all of this. I think that sight is being lost in terms of what (I think) this stuff was supposed to be all about in the first place...good sounds in the hands of happy owners in happy homes.

It vexes me to see so much dollar fixation with regard to all this stuff.

How freakin UN-ROCK N ROLL.

That's all I have to say about it.

DocRock,

I agree wholeheartedly. We all know how good they are but where's the loyalty especially to the Custom Shop stuff. I saw the other day that there was an in-house sale; thought that was cool.

All I can say in response is that they will get my BJF pedals when they pry them from my cold dead hands; mine ARE home!! If this trend continues, I'll be unable to afford further purchases but, hey, makes me try to find new uses for the ones I have. There's still some magic to be explored in each one.
