I finally found me an R 4 knobber! And wow, just wow! It´s without doubt the finest od/dist I´ve played. I find I can keep it on pretty much all time. Lower the volume on the guitar and it cleans up. Volume up and it just sings forever. And that is into a GreaseMonkey that´s already breaking up.
It was long since I felt so satisfied with a pedal purchase. It is a masterpiece!
I´ve had a lot of BJFE:s but the only one that I have kept so far is the SBMV. The R is surely a keeper as well.

Very nice to hear  ...my 4K MR has been my #1 drive live for the last three years...it just absolutely kills, never sounds bad, and that's into a clean amp and all about the guitar volume swing.

yeah the R is still one of my favorites .... I wish it could go into larger production, but it uses some particular parts that are in short supply ........ RRRrrrrrrrr

I also have no issues with were in the chain I place it. With my Chasetone ge fuzz and Bearfoot Model G I have the dirt covered! Well, I'm a bit curious about the HBO. Might need one of those...
