I've tripped and I can't get down.

hehe, fugot! you're right definitely.
i remember trying couple of pedals that just got in at a friend's store....and a particular red distortion grabbed my attention. it just seemed too expensive and i didnt have a lot of money. so i left and forgot about the name of the pedal/brand.
but durin the next weeks i kept thinkin about it. literally couldnt even sleep...til i called him up and said, whatever it is, i need to buy it:-) it was the DRD and my addiction got started. now i got 7 BJF/MP pedals and the question is really how to get out???? cuz i'm really a "3 pedals" guy....and before each gig i just cant make up my mind what to use:-) like a woman trying 10 dresses before goin to a party :)

i'll never regret stumbling into these great pedals! since the start of my BJF story, i haven't bought anything else....just more and more flavours of the BJF palette. Thanks for the awesome work, Bjorn, and thanks Donner for keepin this site up!!

Like others, I here'd the buzz about the honey bee on TGP. I hav a Komet Concorde amp and a very old marshall 4x12 with greenbacks. The Komet is very touch sensative and very tone full, in your face pure rock gain, but very sensative. I have tried alot of OD pedals in front, but none too many that will complimate the touch sensative thing. I found a used HB and I'm just in heaven. The HB complimates the Komet extremely well as well as my other OD's in front of the HB. The Honey Bee seems to add something that was always there, Kinda like removing the blanket off the Cab :)
The HB is very unique to each of my guitars as well. I just forward to adding other BJF's that would complimate my tone, style, etc. In which I am very picky about...

I saw a number of raves about this pedal called the "Honey Bee" over on TGP, so I decided to figure out who was making them and where they came from. Wound up watching Donner's HB demos on YouTube, and I was sold. Got my HoneyBee and have never looked back. I have five overdrives, but the HBOD probably ends up with half of my playing time. Now I'm facing a severe case of GAS for another BJF OD of some sort.

I saw a person or two on some bass forums that stumbled across a 3BOD, and was in awe when I heard their clips. Eventually it got to me and I had to have one.

I started reading these forums not long after, and when I was looking for a light overdrive to make my mediocre guitar playing better I picked up a Honey bee... that was so good I had to try out the compressor.

Now I'm hooked and need to try some fuzzes (or a model H/R) out on bass.

I'm quite sure it was while reading something on TGP, though I'm pretty positive I had first seen them over at musictoyz for sale and started to wonder about them...
I got my first one almost three years ago now, and have been coming back for more and more... I'm up to eight now, and *need* more. yes, need.

Yeah its funny how quickly it turns into the long and winding road of tone acquisition 8)

My first exposure to BJF pedals was due to my constant "unsatisfactory" results from other OD's and distortions.

I play a Vox AC30 and a Fender DeVille in stereo, so the only way I can get some good dirt is with pedals. I basically went from OD to OD, probably 20 or so and I finally threw in the towel and bought a Dyna Red. The first time I played it I was blown away, and it has never left my board since.

The BBOD was added soon after through a trade deal, and the SBEQ and HBOD after that. I ended up ditching the HBOD because there wasn't much application with my current band. Not that it wasn't a great pedal, I just wasn't using it and couldn't justify 400 big ones sitting on the shelf.

With a lot of gear I have found that money does not equal tone. But with BJF pedals I have found that it is always worth the investment because they are so incredibly amp like and unique, they inspire me to continue playing!

I would love to have the opportunity to play more BJF's but unfortunately they are so hard to find and funds are tight while I am in college. Eventually I would love to try or own all of them. But who wouldn't?

Hey all, first post here. I'm a little late to the party on BJFE pedals, but better late than never! It actually started with my quest for the perfect phaser that led me to picking up a MP TOP about a month and a half ago. Naturally, I was damned impressed. I've also been trying to whittle down pedals so I can put together a reasonably sized (ie not monstrous) pedal board and managed to luck out on a great deal on ebay and got a DBD for $200. I was so impressed with it it kicked my memory man off my board, something I NEVER thought would happen.

So I've got these 2 MP pedals which are blowing me away and I know they are related to the BJFE line but I wasn't exactly sure how... did some digging, had all the "worth it or just hype" questions floating around in my head, but the MP pedals were so impressive I decided to dive in and pick up a Honey Bee.

Best damn overdrive I've ever played. Easily. So I ordered a EGDM too which I don't have yet but am eagerly looking forward to receiving.

I was so impressed with the HB I've kinda been raving about it on TGP for the last week or so and Bjorn, guy that he is, contacted me to thank me for the nice words about it and through a bit of followup communication about what the best stacking options and such were with it he told me I really needed to come join the community here. And so here I am :)

I don't know what my next BJFE/MP pedal will be, most likely a Sky Blue OD, Fire Red Fuzz or a Baby Pink Booster for the HB if I can find one. Or maybe a Red Rooster. Or, or, or... all I know is the EGDM won't be my last, I'm pretty sure about that.

Thanks for reading
