Battery draining while turned off?

Postby scottcw » Sat Aug 31, 2013 5:17 pm

I have been practicing lately using my PH and the battery seems to be draining even when turned off, but still plugged in. The first thing that goes is the LED indicator, then it eventually doesn't pass signal when in bypass.

Is this normal?

My understanding is (...someone please correct me if I'm wrong  ) that your PH is true bypass (only the baby pink is buffered I think..) and while the signal is hardwired through, a small amount of current is always still drawn when plugged in... even when it is off... and this is so with all true bypass pedals  ...and yes, I think the LED will go first.

All ok with a fresh battery?

Yes, a fresh battery fixed the issue. I need to remember not to leave anything plugged in.
