Now that I'm getting a Brit MK 2 at he end of the year, the EGDM or EGLG are up there on my list (again...I've had 3 BJFe's and 1 Bearfoot EGDM at different tmes). The EGDM I got during last years pre-order was a brute and very similar to my first BJFe EGDM. anything past 9 o clock on the volume knob boosted my amp pretty good ofcourse the difference was that I used my ISO 5's 18v spot with the BF instead of a 9v battery I used with the BJFe (I used 9v batteries with all my BJFe's...no power supply at the time). So I wonder if I used a 9v battery with the Bearfoot, maybe I would have got more in the area of my second (and favorite) BJFe EGDM? This I could run the Volume up pretty high (11 o clock -1 o' clock range) and used to goose the HBOD I had. Plus the RRB sounded great into the EGDM (any chances of the BF RRB??)

In relation to car motors, I would relate the EGDM's I had as this:

My 1st BJFe EGDM (9v Battery) and BF EGDM= 426ci Hemi: fast on the volume dial, high distortion/low volume=Teenage Fanclub Bandwagonesque tone for years! I usually had the volume on 9 o clock or lower!!! 10 o' clock was maxx for me.

2nd BJFe EGDM (9v Battery)= 383ci: powerful, but still able to be useful through out the full spectrum, you could add boost before or use it to supply power and color to the HBOD I had after it. I think I had the volume up around 11 o clock to 1 o clock most of the time.

3rd BJFe EGDM (9v Battery)= 289ci: weakest of the four that I've owned. It really didn't boost much, but it could add distortion and color to the tone. I had the volume maxed out pretty much all of the time!

I'm just wondering for those of you who have the EGLG where would you place it in the above relation? I did like the thickness of the second BJFe EGDM had. I got a KILLER Mike Campbell vibe from that box...

I was thinking about getting another standard EGDM and just kind of playing with it more than I did with the last one. The last one I just placed on my board and powered it up...then I had a trade offer for a fuzz (I didn't need any more fuzz...but I still traded anyway  )

I love a good analogy... great stuff! It is so interesting how these pedals can have their own individual character isn't it. Just goes to show that if you find a keeper... keep it!!
