My main rig is at the practice space, so i won't hear it properly until tomorrow night. but it sounds really nice through my other amp. super juicy on the ccw side of the nature knob, tight and bright on the cw side. both really cool sounds. the impact of the 'C' knob is a lot more noticeable than i remember it being on the BJFE versions i have played through.

Hmm... So, has the circuit changed at all for the Bearfoot? I wonder...

JoeLeo - are you using the same amp/guitar as you were when you had the BJFe?

I have only run it at 9 V and Donner and the Bearfoot gang have put together a true blow me away pedal. I did get to try one real G and I don't know if it was the hype, or sour grapes that I didnt get one, but I was underwhelmed and preferred my 1st Anniversary Honey Beeatch more. I have run the BF MG into a tweed Champ, and all 3 of my Swarts and it takes on a different character with each amp though all are simply amazing!! It will be interesting to try different Voltages though if it was 9 Volt I am more than happy!

Am I allowed to ask what the C knob is? I can tell the other botom knob is Nature. The C knob is subtle, yet at the same time VERY powerful! Balancing the Drive and the C there are so many colors! The best thing is all my guitars sound like themselves through the G! While I love my BF PPF & CAF they can mask what you are playing with.

I gotta get a few more minutes in before its lights out for the kids.

Jealous here... Currently waiting for my 2 year old to fall asleep, myself. Hoping to get a bit of time with the guitar...

Glad you guys are liking yours! I'm really looking forward to A/Bing with my BJFe... I'm also curious to read the reactions of the folks who've never had the chance to try a Model G.

Wow, people already have theirs! Those are some interesting first impressions. I found the C knob on my BJFE MG to be pretty subtle. I found that I like it at ~1 o'clock, and then I use the Nature knob to really change the character of the OD depending on the guitar/amp I am using. I tend to leave the drive up too. I am curious to see how the amount of drive available on the BF compares with the BJFE. I'm sure I'll do some more in-depth tweaking once the BF arrives. I've read that the C knob effects the character of the mids (which I tend to agree with on the BJFE), and I've also read that it is supposed to simulate changing mic placement.

Hopefully mine will show up tomorrow. I'm also very curious to see what paint job Donner used on this beast.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow :whistle

We'll have to hear from Donner. I've got to think, though, that the more likely scenario is just that my memory of the pedal was off a bit. It has been over a year.

The C knob is really cool though. Especially the way it interacts with the Nature control. If I remember correctly, doesn't it stand for 'Celestion'? The sweep of the pot almost sounds like a speaker breaking in.

EDIT: sorry I forgot to answer your question. Yes, I actually was using the same amp tonight as I was when I had the BJFE. I'm not sure, though, how I used to have the amp set up back then.

I thought the C stood for Celestion and was a speaker type of dial that also has some mic placement similarities. Could be wrong. I owned an MG for like 24 hours before I had to let it go. Wife got into a car crash after I purchased it but before delivery. She's OK now, but the car was totalled and the medical bills were dense. I want to strangle that woman that hit her still though...

Looking forward to gigging the MG this weekend. It'll be with a BJFE SBEQ, BJFE HBOD, BJFE SYODv1, BF PGCv1, BF BPB, BF EGDM. I can't resist the Bearfoot price tag and the designs work better for me than the MP stuff generally (I dig the SGD for Rock).

Im interested in your raw observations - there is no right answer  so I wont butt in .... butt we did rearrange the controls so they conformed with the other 4 knob BearFeet ... Vol , Dirt on top , EQ low and hi on the bottom ... the C knob is unique tho - I was thinking of it as Claws or Canines 8)

keep it coming ....
