that will change soon --- a very interesting season ahead ...

So newcomers and old farts alike --- what would you like to see here ??

Whats missing - what else could this place be ?

Improve the ability to share sound samples of recordings, etc.? I love hearing the different things people are inspired to play with BJFE designs.

Well, I have a few ideas. How about...

* The board's image - In order to draw interest and make things a bit fresher and more exciting maybe a bit of sprucing up... A new skin, or something?

* How about a reorganization and update of the contents of the library? Just for instance - maybe some current production totals, if Bjorn was so inclined... An update to the list of models to include some of the customs and one-offs that have popped up over the past couple of years, etc..

* The community - What if we brought back some of the things that have fallen a bit by the wayside, which make this community special? By that i mean:

Research / Custom Shop contests and tourboxes - Everyone would be into these, no?

More activity in the Folk vein? Perhaps we could get together with Bjorn and hash out some ideas?

Bjorn, would you be interested to bring back the Companion Pedal thing you used to do? Maybe now with every "x" number of a model, instead of 100... It would be fun I think!

* This one hasn't much to do with the site itself, but how about offering some merchandise- some stickers or shirts like Craise did in the past? Maybe some Eva prints or originals? I'd be into that, as I'm sure others would. :D
My rainbow of BJFe:

BJFe.org CB --> RRB --> PGC --> CAF 4K -->AWF! --> "Bjorn again" Phase 90 -->BBOD --> EGDM --> MG --> SBEQ --> BPB --> BJFe Echoverb

I actually started this in a different thread.

I also wanted to ask if this board should be as much a Bearfoot board as a BJFE board? I know Bjorn is as busy as can be with his wide assortment of design areas with MP pedals and amps, pickups and Bearfoot designs and redesigns he has had relatively less time to do new projects for BJFE as a brand.

I agree with Your Name Here's suggestions. The last two new pedals were the Model H and a return of the SYOD twins which was quite some time ago.

I really liked the Folk project even though I have not finished mine. School ends in one week and I hope to get a bit better balance in my life. The only bad thing for me is I thought next year I was going to have 3 full school days free for guitar building and other projects, but Jesse Bear may need extra help at school and the twins would do Kinder Enrichment on different days. No breaks for me.

Yup - lots to agree with ......

Ive wrestled with the BJFe - BearFooot thing ---- was the same when Mad Professor came out ... is it the same ???

Ive come back around to thinking that BJFe.org should be BJF Designs one and all --- its what we all have in common and some will favor some over others - but in the end its Bjorns designs that bring us together ....

I started this board because there were restictions on what we could do on other big boards and our little treehouse here allowed some of those things to happen ....

I wish I had the time to do everything that would be fun and productive but like everyone else I have a life too and theres still only 24 hours in a day........ Im working to get this place the attention it needs ...

I know the Facebook page has taken alot of the energy needed for this page to remain relevant .... just posting pictures here takes extra effort and sometimes I dont have the time for both ....... but also understand there are many that dispise FB

We will do some Tourboxes here again ...

There will be some research coming up and you will probably even see Bjorn here again

Keep the ideas coming ....

I was skeptical about Bearfoot at the beginning, but I have been won over and now i'm a big fan! The price/quality ratio can not be beat! I see them close to equal as you can get and maybe the BJFE is like the custom shop and Bearfoot is like the Vintage Reissues to use a Fender analogy. Going further in the analogy I see Made in Finland Mad Professor more like Fender Mexico and the CB versions like Squier.

I have seen a few threads on TGP about Bearfoot pedals and I think too many do not realize the depth of tones available through knob tweaking, stacking and input Voltages. On some pedals going from 8 or 9 Volts to even 12 Volts can be the difference between good and holy sing depending on a person's style and rig.

A tour box with blank boxes would be a lot of fun. Especially if new versions of old designs or all new designs are included. There are so many great demos now it is easier to know what you might be interested enough to try/buy. It would be more fun to go boldly where no man has gone before. I think it would be interesting to have some boxes of familiar pedals and have some of the knobs go way CW or way CCW! I.e. the Honey BEEst is in many ways a HBOD with the gain knob that goes way beyond full CW.

I might split the BJFe Discussion into 3 sections:

BJFe Pedals
Mad Professor pedals and amps
Bearfoot

Might be nice to triple up the registry in that way too.

I'm down with Research/CustomShop/Experimental pedals and I'm a big fan of more Folk Forum stuff.

I would love a more in-depth Library section with more info on the pedals and how they came to be.

I agree, different sections for the different branding makes a lot of sense (BJF designs as Donner pointed out..) although I really enjoy the simplicity of navigation through the forum as it is... I can always get up to date quite quickly here as opposed to some other more diversified boards.. Nature of the beast I guess and probably why I like this straightforward little 'treehouse' so much :pedallove

A big +1 on the folk projects, research, experimental and custom shop contests... Great stuff!!

I think as a member of this board it is of course always going to be up to us to help create the content here and keep it moving forwards...

I like the idea of perhaps using the library as a resource where members can put video and audio examples up for reference :music

Separate mp bf bjfe sections might be a good idea. As would a really good demo section streaming a bunc the available demos. Make it a one stop place to understand the Bjorn designs.
