What current production pedal is similar to the PPF?

Any thoughts on this? I'd love to have a PPF again, but haven't had any luck finding one on the used market. I'm wondering if any DAM or Skreddy stuff (or anything else) would be similarly-textured. I could asking for the impossible though, as I'm sure the PPF is one-of-a-kind.

PPF is my favorite BJFe pedal. It can't make up its mind whether it's a distortion or a fuzz

That said, if you want a pedal that is a similar cross-breed between distortion and fuzz, the Black Arts Pharaoh Fuzz does that double duty thing. It's also supposed to be a derivative of a Muff, as the PPF is supposed to be[alledgedly]

I have both. I can't say they sound exactly the same, but you can get in the PPF ballpark with the Pharaoh.

Still, if you can find one and have the $$$$, the PPF is one great pedal. Mine will be my last BJFe that I will let go of!

:notworthy

PPF was a great pedal. Having a Bearfoot version will be great. Any chance the BBOD parts shortage was fixed for a Bearfoot version too?

:music I better start saving my pennies now! I had a Cornish G2 that was really nice sounding but if the amp was breaking up at all it sounded rotten! I was told the PPF is something like the G2 so I have always wanted one, but I still have not even played through one.

I have been going through my fuzz collection and I am pretty shocked at how large it has gotten without even trying! :joker I do think I need to let a few go and I have been listening to a few muff type pedals as the only muff style I have is a Basic Audio Tri/Ram and there is very little difference between the two, but it does have a nice Mids feature at least.

I wouldn't try to discourage you from getting a PPF, but having had both the G2 and the PPF, personally, I do not think they are at all similar. I prefer the PPF by far. It's much more versatile. :salute

Agreed! MUCH more versatile. I do like the Top Tone renditions of the P2 and G2, but I much prefer the PPF for fuzzy goodness. The BBOD hits the spot quite nicely as well!

Merry Christmas, again!

Cheers.
