When I had mine I used it pre OD and fuzz and used it for adding colour and boost into those pedals but also as a volume drop pedal to roll back the volume going into fuzzes without losing the treble like you get with rolling off a guitar volume knob.

Pre-delay and reverb, post everything else. I use it to boost, add sparkle and tailor bass response, depending upon the guitar.

I've been using mine to goose dirt lately and I dig it!

Scored an old SBEQ on TGP for cheap just recently- it just had a dirty switch and a broken plastic knob. I have it before my HBOD and a Jan Ray. I like boost before my ODs. I know some use it at the end of the chain for a final tone shaping but, I must say, by the time my signal gets to the end it's already sounding awesome!! :D

I use it as the last pedal except for the rare times I run the RRB after it. It seems much of the time I run it with a slight boost and the Bass and Treble flat unless I am playing really quiet or loud and I add Treble or Bass.

Mine is an early one and it seems to be a bit dirtier, in a great way, than some of the others I have tried. Mine is on most of the time as is my PGC, but I do have a buffer in my SBEQ for the times I have it off. The buffer makes fuzzes act strangely so I have to have it on if I need fuzz.

If I had unlimited amounts of money I could see trading out the PGC (pedal order listed below) for a second SBEQ and run it in the same place the PGC is now. I really do not add much compression and now that I think about it it would be a better sweetener than the PGC. :scratch

What number is your SBEQ? I think I have 72 and it has a beautiful "pushed" clean to it. Definitely not the edge of breakup but a bit below it.
