HBOD serial numer question

Postby zzpotato » Thu Nov 15, 2012 9:19 pm

I just scored an older Honey bee #148. I am wondering if it is considered a V1 or V2? I'm sure there's info posted someplace but I couldn't find it. This is my fourth one- I'm going to keep it this time. :pedallove I had one of the very first ones that was pretty flabby in the bass and seemed to have less gain but was still very cool. This one seems typical to the newer versions and sounds awesome of course. Has about the same gain as the barefoot and the last two BJFE Bees that I've had. Sounds a bit more open -for lack of a better word- than the Bearfoot version.

Version 1. It will be a little darker in tone. Great score!

Thanks. Good to know. What serial number does the V2 start at?

V2 started soon after 400. There was a bit of a crossover between 400 and 420 or so, with some of them being V1 and some V2.
