Footswitch troubles (what do I do again?)

It finally happened to me. The footswitch on my MHvT turns the unit on, but when I go to turn it off ALL sound stops. I wiggled the top of the footswitch and got varying degrees of volume in bypass mode.

Is it just pissed at me because it gets rotated with the Honey Beeatch, or is it as broken as the officiating during the final minutes of the Packers vs Seahawks game?

My HBOD was acting up so I followed the directions in the above video. It worked perfect. The only problem I had was getting the switch apart. The guy in the video makes it look easy (which is probably is). I moved the switch around so much trying to get it apart, I broke one of the wires off the switch. I'm pretty comfortable soldering but the wire I broke off was going behind the "goop" in my pedal so I took it to work to have our EE solder it back on for me. I only had one chance and wasn't willing to take it. I knew that if I messed it up (cut that wire too short) it would have to go back to Sweden for repairs as I don't know how to get behind the goop and really don't want to mess with that anyway.

p.s. While I had it apart, I also tightened up the input and output jacks. HBOD now works as good as new.
