Stacked a Honey Bee and was pleasantly suprised!

I have not always been a big fan of stacking pedals. In my past experience when I would stack them I would often lose dynamics in my playing, or I would get an increase in compression. That being said, I recently tried a clean boost (an "IT" pedal by Schroeder Audio) in front of a Honey Bee. What a great result! The boost simply added a nice boost to an already great, warm overdrive. The "IT" is quite transparent, so it seems to work well with others without over compressing, or coloring the sound.

Stacking CAN work....This could get dangerous!

Stacking DOES work ... adventure dangerously!

(BBOD > MH or MH > BBOD is the best I have ever experienced)

I really like the Honey Bee stacked with the EGDM... Stacking the Baby Pink after either or both of them makes everything extra good!

I think one of the keys to stacking is to not run any of the dirt knobs too high and to keep most pedals, unless used as a booster, should be close to unity volume.

The HBOD works great at the front of your dirt chain (but after fuzz) or at the end, or in the middle :scratch Lately I have been using the Bearfoot SYOD V1 as a treble booster into MHvT, MR, Honey Beeatch, SYOD v2, EGDM4k, etc... I also change up how I use the PGC at the front and the SBEQ w/buffer at the end. Sometimes I boost with them, sometimes I color with them or a combination.

The "Purple" Humper (mine has faded to sky blue!) stacks with everything and can really change the sonic goodness to sonic greatness! :drooling

Stacking can open up new possibilities. My first real experience was stacking the Civil War Muff into BK Tube Driver.....talk about nice smooth lead tone. BJFe stuff stacks very well. I realized the HB & EGDM are great together from this forum. I love using the Pine Green as boost or subtle compression. I know the MGMV does the boost well too, I don't have one, I have a FoxRox AquaVibe for my vibe & I'll never get rid of that. I mentioned it before but I recently got a Paul Trombetta KUSH and it's great for a thick boost or stacking, very versatile overdrive/boost.
Finally I have a Purple Humper arriving next week!!!! It seems like exactly what I'm looking for

I've never really been much of a fan of stacking pedals myself but found one I liked recently. Foolishly I nearly sold my hbod the other day but ended up plugging it in to play around with it to be sure. I've ran the hbod into the sbeq before for more loose low end but never the other way around. I dig on it! The treble and bass have great effect over the dirt and the vol on the sbeq just adds more grit instead of volume from the hbod after unity.

I usually use the hbod with my 5e3 but it was always just shy of the amount of dirt I wanted. No more I say!
