Cliff Hanger v1 - No Goop?

Postby mam8dg » Sat Apr 28, 2012 7:36 pm

I just received Cliff Hanger v1 #8 in the mail! I decided to take a peak inside before plugging it in, and noticed something was missing...the circuit wasn't gooped! Is this normal for Cliff Hangers? I will be plugging it in and rocking out later tonight, but I was curious about this. Would love to hear from other CH owners (about that, and their thoughts on the pedal too).

I have to say that the finish on this pedal is a work of art. The look and texture are amazing.

My CHII was ungooped as well.
Not sure if this is typical of all of them or not?

Interesting...may it is just a CH thing? I wonder why that is.

The Purple Humpers I have seen have all been non-gooped. I don't know why though as Bjorn has several good reasons to goop why the Bearfoot pedals are not gooped too?

It's interesting too because I got a PGC recently and that's stil gooped. So it only seems to be certain models.

.... Thanks, that was a fun finish to do .... originally at one point I had thought of it as the Stonehenge distortion, and it was even possibly going to be a special with These Go To 11 ~ to go with the Spinal Tap theme  ~ that didnt happen and Eva came up with the Cliffhanger name. At one point, it was even going to be the first BearFoot pedal but ended up as the MP Stone Grey Distortion. So you can see some of it s trek from Stonehenge to Stone Grey.
