Best BJFE for Fender Blackface

Postby Justen S » Mon Apr 16, 2012 7:00 pm

I am new to the world of :bjorn and was wondering what pedals you have found sound best with a fender blackface style amp?

I am interested in the HBOD, SHOD, Model G, SYOD v2, BBOD, DRD, and Model R

I use all of the above mentioned pedals with my blackface Fenders. All sound amazing. The Model G is particularly mind-blowing.

aside from the saffron yellow overdrive, I use all of the other ones you mentioned with my deluxe reverb on a regular basis. my personal favorite is the baby blue overdrive, but the dyna red distortion and model R are quite nice as well. the model G is a very special pedal for dynamic overdrive and rich tones. very hard to find, but some would argue that it is one of bjorn's finest works.

welcome to bjorn's world, justen. it's a wonderful place.

cheers.

Thanks for the replies guys :D I'm not working on a huge budget so if you had to pick lets say 3 or 4 of those which ones would be absolutely essential to you?

The DRD in between p90's and a blackface is rock heaven.

I use mainly strats and telecasters. if I could pick 3 or 4 bjfe pedals to own, they would be the baby blue overdrive, the model h, the pine green compressor and a sea blue eq.

if you are looking for a third overdrive or distortion pedal, the emerald green distortion machine is incredible as well.

by the way, bjorns devices are not for the budget conscious.

On a budget, go with the Bearfoot Honey Beest and Dyna Red Hot... or wait for his upcoming Model G launch. :sign_justkiding

For the tonally conscious, however, they are one of the best investments you can make..
