I am about to bump these voltages up from 9 to 12 V. According to the forum, these voltages are safe for both. My gig is tomorrow night so I will get back to you all.

Assuming that some of you all have tried these pedals at higher voltages, is there any feedback you can offer before my gig tomorrow night?.

Thanks for

Changing voltages on any of the BJFE I have owned, has mostly been subtle in how it affects things. That said, it does make things different and going from 9 to 12v wont be so different that it would mess you up somehow. I actually thought the DRD was kind of cool at a slightly sagged voltage.

On most of the BJFEs I have raised the Voltage on it tends to, but not always, increase bass, sweeten treble and raise the resonance frequency. I do not know if the last term is correct, but what I am trying to say is if the peak frequency was 1,000 hz at 9 Volts it might be 1,300 hz at 12 Volts and 1,655 hz at 18 Volts.

The other thing to consider is how loud you are playing, guitar and pickup type as well as amp size, Wattage and speaker configuration.

I am using single single humbucker pickups. Alder body guitar into musicman amp.
