Was able to snag a SBEQ off of TGP yesterday and pretty damn excited... Considering I'm actually posting this I may be "too" excited..

Anyone know if this would be good for boosting fuzz maybe?

I don't know but it works well the other way around. The several fuzzes I've tried have all loved boing into my sbeq, haven't tried boosting one yet though...

Just got one as well.
I plan to use in a totally different way, as an always on acoustic EQ / sweetener.
Really looking forward to trying it out.

Still haven't received it.... purchased it on Thu last week and dude finally sent it yesterday. ( no problem take your time)

I play a Germino club 40 and my cleans are pretty amazing.. I purchased it w/ intention on adding a little color and dirt enhancement.

This is probably the wrong forum to make this comment :shh: but I actually prefer my Fromel Shape EQ as my actual EQ. So I use the SBEQ at the end of my chain as a volume boost or in the fully CCW "Purple Humper" settings but with a bit of treble dialled back in. It's brilliant for thickening up single coils.

Mine arrived today. I also own a Fromel EQ and they are very different. I'm running the Fromel shape in front of my pale green comp. and step on it to cut the bass a tad when engaging the pgc. The SBEQ is great at the end on my chain as a slight overall signal boost and sweetener. I'm going to use the SBEQ and pgc together in the studio next week with a tele into a Carr Raleigh. I'm going to try the overdriving the amp with them and see what comes of it.

I pulled an old boss ge eq off my board which ran @ 12 volts off of the voodoo lab pp+2. (you just move the dip switch off normal to do this.) I kept this setting on the SBEQ and experimented between 9v and 12v. I found the bass response was slightly different for the better @ 12v. Gigging tomorrow with all the aforementioned for solo acoustic show. Looking forward to a long relationship with my newly acquired Bjfe tools.

The SBEQ and my Analogman delay sound soo good together and with every guitar I've paired them up with. I've never really looked forward to playing with a clean sound but now I do. I think I've mentioned before that the sbeq is an enabler of a pedal, it makes everything else sound a little bit better.

Yes, the SBEQ is a great pedal and maybe underrated. I have mine towards the end of my chain running at 18 Volts and it really makes everything sound softer and sweater. I also have the Fromel Shape EQ and like it a lot too but rarely use it. My take on it, is that the Shape EQ is better at making more drastic changes to your tone and the SBEQ works best when you are very happy with your tone and you just want to tweak it a bit. I also think it has a ceiling for the highs that gets rid of pricing highs. The only thing I would like to see in the SBEQ is a switchable buffer like on the Shape EQ.

I have to say I think this replaced my Timmy as an eq/boost.... So much more articulate and sweet sounding.
